What’s on in March in West Berkshire

Spring is officially here! It feels great to welcome the slightly warmer weather, the longer days, the first daffodils and the spring sunshine. And let’s not forget, Easter is also on its way! There is lots going on in March in West Berkshire to keep you entertained before school is out for the holidays. Here’s our lowdown on some of our favourites.

1. Workshops at Treetops, Newbury

Treetops in Newbury are back again this month with a whole host of wonderful workshops, so go on, sign up, unwind, and discover your inner creativity!

  • Wednesday 6th March: Pen & Wash 10am-3:30pm

The Lake District offers plenty of opportunity to master drawing and pen techniques with an atmospheric wash of paint to complete the picture. Art classes at Treetops are taught by tutor Claire Warner and are run in small groups of no more than ten students so that everyone receives plenty of attention. All of your materials are provided as well as a two-course lunch, a glass of wine and refreshments throughout the day. Claire teaches in a step-by-step style, demonstrating each stage of the picture so that you will have a finished painting to take home. £85.

  • Friday 8th March: Mist and Reflections on the Lake Watercolour 10am-3:30pm

Create a gorgeous atmospheric picture, learning about colour choices, mixing, and applying colour onto paper, concentrating on soft edges to create mist and distance with harder edges for the foreground and trees. With artist Claire Warner, the class includes all your materials, a two-course lunch with a glass of wine and refreshments throughout the day. £85.

  • Sunday 10th March and Wednesday 27th March: Sound Healing 7:30pm – 8:45pm

Join this sound healing journey and enjoy a relaxing sound bath (also known as sound healing or sound journey) with the pure and ethereal sound waves created by quartz crystal bowls and koshi bells. Sound waves along with their frequency and vibration really help with wellbeing, relaxation, and sleep.
